I'm going to take a moment to register my complaints, as a late evening person with sleep issues, with the insistance of almost all zen groups to do group sits at 5:30 to 6:00 AM. My sangha brethren, I don't even sleep until midnight and I'm over 50!

OMFG. I'm trying to get therapist licensing in Oregon. They need my state to fill out a form for my license. My state says "no, but they can check online." Oregon says "no, but they can send us a letter." An hour on hold and $25 later (and a week of back and forth), it's done.

I'm an old Mozillian. I was approx employee 123 there and stayed for over 12 years. That said, I want a replacement for Thunderbird at this point. It just eats waaaay too much RAM and CPU. I run MacOS and Linux only. Suggestions for a client?

I'm not a luddite. I ran a BBS and UUCP node back in the day. Talked my way into my first tech job in 1994 and worked at Microsoft, Mozilla, and Google before I got out in 2023.

I want nothing to do with AI and I do not want it in my OS or any products I use. I don't want it forced on me.
