Usually it's annoying to see this screen as a user on a production website, but I usually love to see it because I just discovered another Rails app in the wild - especially when it's a local business ๐

Iโm definitely a little late to the party, but I just published my 2024 Year-in-Review!
This is probably the most personal blog post Iโve ever written. Itโs a deep dive into everything I worked on, what I learned, and how much time I spent on open source (spoiler, it's a lot๐).

Writing this helped me reflect on how much I love being part of the Ruby, Rails, and Open Source communities.
And itโs motivated me to start sharing more of what Iโm working on in 2025.

I've been using Ferrum using the pdf
method, but I was more looking for a CLI-based utility that doesn't need to open a browser.
Maybe the answer is just that there isn't a real drop-in replacement because it will never be as accurate as opening a browser.

What are people using now that wkhtmltopdf

Some not-so-obvious but game-changing quality-of-life improvements with the new M4 MacBook Pro:
And of course, the obvious: insane performance gains!

The last MacBook I bought was in 2017. I've been on Intel Macs ever since.
I finally upgraded to the latest M4 MacBook Pro and the difference is night and day. I still can't believe how fast everything is and feels - it's actually absurd.
Excited to get back to work today, now I'm ready to cook in 2025! Let's go!
