I've been in the corporate world for a while now, but this just plain baffles me... Why increase Tim's salary by so much? He doesn't need this money, neither did Apple generate this much to justify Tim's increase. I know their stock went quite a bit over the last year, but is this really all Tim's doing? Anyone? https://finance.yahoo.com/news/apple-ceo-pay-rises-18-221640505.html

Earlier today took the first ride in the #Waymo driverless car and here is a quick recording of how the music sounds on the car speakers. I also make a few comments about some of the things the Waymo app allows me to do. But the experience is really quite accessible and simply amazing! It is hard to believe we are so close to the driverless future! :)

This whole thing with VoiceOver not typing a space when using Braille Onscreen Input is going to get me into some serious embarrassing trouble one day. I can't count on my fingers the number of times I had to edit my posts because a space wasn't typed, meaning a grade 2 abbreviation was not expanded, words got concatenated, etc, etc. Am I the only one with this issue or there are some techniques I should learn to prevent this from happening?

O look, just had a glance at my #Spotify 2024 stats and learned that ~3K people listened to my music with ~5.9K streams across something like 80 countries. Happy to know that my #music reaches people's ears!

Wow! Fascinating! A new Caltech study quantifies the speed of human thought processes and finds that we think, remember, and process remarkably slowly.

I think where we really need AI help is in reading OS logs and such. You will know what I mean if you ever tried decoding crash reports. Do I really need to read a bunch of cryptic statements in 2024? Yes, sounds too whimpy, I agree, but my screen reader and my ears say otherwise! :)

I am not sure how you guys use Suno.ai, but I decided to give up with them for now. I sent them a pretty expensive feedback form and hope they will look into accessibility of their websites and apps. Routing mouse to certain places in the web UI helps, as I discovered there are a few context menus around, but it's still pretty inefficient and time-consuming.

V4 model is amazing though!

I hope those of you who use VOCR already saw there is a 2.2.0 update? It includes a new functionality that allows you to search for the text on the VOCR screen. OCR the screen, then Command+Control+f/g to search, also Command+Control+Shift+f/g to search backward. Hope you like the feature!

I just revisited Spitfire Audio's Labs Manager after a few months and was pleasantly surprised to see its accessibility improve quite significantly. It is now possible to access settings, download instruments, load them, etc etc. There are a few little things but they can be dealt with. Great development!
