For close-up focusing with the iPhone, I use one of the lenses that I disassembled from the objective of a pair of binoculars and put it in the plastic eyepiece holder. The rubber goes through two holes and the knots hold it in place without the need for adhesives. So I can easily remove the lens for cleaning.
