Am I right in thinking that Royal Mail are the only standard postal service in the UK who will carry fragile items, such as glass or ceramics? The only other option I'm aware of are companies such as Pack & Send who specialise in shipping fine art and suchlike.

@ninawillburger @archaeology Here's a #mystery object that was found by a detectorist in Stanford-le-Hope on the Thames estuary. At only 45mm long it's small, is made of some kind of copper alloy and is suspected to be #medieval. There's a 3D viewer embedded in the web page which is useful in examining it.

It seems that #RoyalMail's fate is sealed, thanks to #Starmer's decision to sell to a company overseas that has a lot less to lose than the disUK when our national postal service inevitably collapses.
This #BlueLabour government are keen supporters of #Brexit, yet they've abandoned "take back control" rhetoric in favour of global #capitalism. I suspect that even #Tories would wince at this decision to sell the family silver.

I'm looking for advice in replanting approximately an acre of recently-felled conifer crop plantation with #trees and #shrubs native to #Aberdeenshire. Below is a list of species under consideration and an aerial photograph of the area, with the replanting zones edged in red.
