I’m not a pilot, but it remains a mystery to me why an instrument-only landing is possible with zero visibility in AMS and MSP and yet untenable to execute in DEN (apropos a recent flight via DEN that was departure stopped due to fog).

The perils of paradise. After what happened two years ago, I prophylactically placed glue traps inside the rental car to minimize hitchhiking. Here’s the result from just four days:

As my time in Hawai‘i draws to a close, my sinus infection is gone, but I think the antibiotics may have left me with a severe photosensitivity issue.

This is a heck of a place to discover such a problem. I hope it’s only temporary. If not, vampirism will be a hell of a conversation starter.
