I put in "Lord of the Rings fan fiction" into Google. I found "Lord of the Rings crossovers" and then I found "Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings". I cannot stop reading this trainwreck. Harry, killed by Volddemort, sent to Middle-Earth as an Elfling. OMG.

Hey KarenStrickholm@mastodon.online ... You're a knitter and you've done socks and given me some helpful advice on yarns and needles and I am considering doing just a basic pair to show myself I can. I wear size 8 shoes, so how do I figure out the length of the foot and how many stitches around for the heel and then the rest of the leg? #knitting

Supervisor called me today to thank me for the throw. She loves it and was impressed at how neat it was. She didn't realize I could knit that way. Hell, when I first started doing throws, I didn't realize I could do so well. And these are simple. I want to get more bulky yarn so I can make more to donate. Surely people in my city will need them for this winter and next?

Argh! My blanket was coming along soooooo well. Only to discover there's a giant hole, that ... grr...knitting back all those rows? Just ugh! So, now to decide if I start over again or ... what. I was so happy with it, too...

My seamless quilt is coming along nicely. For anyone interested in knitting this pattern, which is simple, or would be if I didn't daydream while working on each square. Here is the link to where I got the pattern:

Also, stitch markers are super helpful in the pattern for marking the garter section and each square. Trust me, I didn't think they mattered, but boy, was I wrong. Stitch marks are what make this, when I am relaxed and not daydreaming, so easy for me to fly through each row.
