Reading/listening to "Small Things Like These" by Claire Keegan as it's this months local book group choice. I've also seen the excellent film based on the book.

It's set in Ireland in 1985 but seems much, much earlier. The extract from the Irish constitution at the start and the horrors uncovered in the book stand in stark contrast.

“Severance” Season 2 starts tomorrow. Just finished a rewatch of Season 1. So good. But all action and thrills TV it definitely isn’t!

And the good news is that I can still use @ivory to view and post to PixelFed as you can add PixelFed accounts. Unfortunately the current iOS apps for PixelFed are a bit clunky as is the web interface to my mind.

I’m sorry but these hopeless idiots have finally made me lose my temper. The person had asked about routes up Simonside (local hill) as “only roads were shown on Google Maps” and “ I haven’t got OS Maps on my phone or a map” The Mountain Rescue Service must despair!

It’s -3c and Simonside is covered in snow this morning 🤦‍♂️
