TIL that unposted toots still show up in my timeline. I was testing something with echofeed (https://echofeed.app/) from the test version of my blog, went and cooked dinner, and well, 10+ old posts showed up in my timeline. They’ve since been deleted (at least I think I’ve deleted all the bad stuff) but it’s been one of those years so … yeah. It might just be time for bed and I’ll try again tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’m typically an early riser, but 3am is too early. I’ve been up for more than 2 hours already and have a pretty packed day ahead. Really wish my brain wouldn’t have decided it was time to “worry about something unimportant” that early.

It’s a hockey night, so I likely won’t be in bed until almost 10pm. Wish me luck today!

I was really looking forward to @webology office hours today, and the little bit I was able to be there for was great … but my internet connection has decided to take an early Thanksgiving break and it keeps dropping every few minutes. OK, I think I’ve been able to (with the help of many others) get this figured out. There are a few things that happened to get me where I’m at, but mostly it was me

• not paying attention

• not reading the uv docs closely enough

• me just being silly.

I’m going to work on a TIL that I’ll post later today, but tl;dr uv doesn’t install pip by default when creating a venv and that was a problem. Thanks to everyone that helped me figure this out!

I've somehow managed to get Python on my macbook to not install packages into the virtual environment I've activated and I'm honestly not sure how to fix this.

Has anyone else ever run into this problem? If so, any pointers on how to fix it?
