Ever wonder what it's like being a data engineering manager? It's asking: "What is the experience impact to users with that measure/data/telemetry?" on repeat.... forever.

So, CS had a bad bug, but it’s software. That happens. Design for it.
Microsoft saw failures quickly, alerted partners, provided help & usb recovery images, & also provides ongoing crash reports/dumps to all driver partners online, whenever they want.
However, it was specifically the airlines (& others) who let prod systems download a random update file unvalidated. Isn’t that the most egregious error here? I bet their IT group doesn’t even allow that with wu updates (& that’s ok).

Sigh. So… the .sys files… under system32… were not actually drivers… that’s, frustrating.

I drove east over the pass for the event. On the way back, while on the i90 bridge, I captured something falling from the sky in my dash cam. I’m wondering if a satellite didn’t do so well. 2/2

There’s just a lot of advertising going on here. It’s a lot to wrap my brain around. I feel like there is a lot of ad dollars in this one image.

There’s lots of talk today about WiFi mac randomization*. The core idea is a good one.
Not that many seem to recall that windows shipped this feature in 2015. ;)

@brennx0r 2 “work” pics, 2 “home” pics.
Like: I love vertical monitors for email, chat,& docs. 1 landscape still needed for websites. Monitor arms are a must. Can’t go back to <4 monitors now. Just got a new camera & mounting pole for it for teams calls. Like that both desks are motorized.
Dislike: Not pictured, but I’m not a fan of the Aeron chair. I need more light in each room. Just a floor lamp in both locations. I wish I had better art & decoration in both places.
