It might work, but it’s far from a perfect setup right now.

There are many things that I would need to figure out with the programs I typically use on Windows.

At least I know my main workflow is… workable at best.

I installed it on an external drive just so I could test it out. Eventually I could see Linux as a daily driver, but it’ll take more convincing.

I’m talking about Unity packages using the in-built NPM package manager.

I’m not talking about .unitypackage files.

Having a few doubts about my process.

I’m creating functionality for my game, separated using Unity packages, to then all be packaged together in the final game project files.

My questions:

• At what point does “separation of concerns” go too far in programming?

• What is the “correct” size for a Unity package?

• Is there a rule of thumb that I should follow, or is it mostly just guesswork?
