Some successes this season: Alpenglow zinnia, a cross pollinated cosmos with a cupcake cosmos, Sangria Celosia and some strawflowers (not fully opened though).

As a Canadian, it’s my duty to give a #weather update.

Not only will we have an astounding 14C today but that on Thursday we will be getting -11C (and -14 feels like -24C at night). And that the following week we’re in double digits then another swing back down to the normals of 5-6C. We got zero snow. It’s dusty and very dry. A hope and a prayer for my tulips and daffodils 🥴

Also, the location of Gentilly-2 is right inbetween Montreal & Quebec City, a 2hr drive, right across from Trois-Rivières, and right on the St-Lawrence river. I have MAJOR concerns of a nuclear meltdown. Have you guys seen the control room?? The nuclear plant was built in 1973, its lifespan is spent. An absolute waste of time and money.

[#]Quebec is looking to reactivate #Gentilly2, the only #nuclear power plant here, which was closed in 2012, in order to meet electric power demand with #Canada phasing out gas-powered cars by 2035. Reactivation of Gentilly-2 is said to be for 2036.

This is shocking and incredibly sad. I can't even begin to comprehend why they would go to this level. It's been more than 10 yrs since it’s decommission, the 800-staff have moved on or retired. They won't find enough ppl to run this thing.

Ever get the feeling that you’re just ready to retire and done working? After this tumultuous year and the past 3yrs, this uneasy feeling has been growing. I’m tired of working and stressing over work itself. I’m ready to just free myself from it all and just - live!

I’m just going to sit with that thought and imagine myself free from work and worry. Life could be so much simpler.
