I'm speaking at NDC London about whether LLMs are really as good (or useful) as the benchmarks make them seem. Come along to see how fragile their assessment really is!

See you there in room 6 at 11:40: https://ndclondon.com/agenda/can-you-trust-your-large-language-model-0wbn/0k3wcyqte0u

The recording of my NDC Porto keynote is now available! If you've ever thought that some of those claims by #LLM vendors feel a bit too good to be true, watch to see the dark underbelly of how #LLMs are actually assessed. πŸ•΅οΈ

Did you know you can use LLMs for sentiment analysis?

Check out my latest blog post, which takes you step-by-step through how to apply these powerful models to extract emotion from text, using open source models and packages.

TIL where the name of tqdm comes from πŸ₯Ή

tqdm derives from the Arabic word taqaddum (ΨͺΩ‚Ψ―Ω‘Ω…) which can mean "progress," and is an abbreviation for "I love you so much" in Spanish (te quiero demasiado).

In two weeks, I’ll be kicking off Day 2 of #NDCPorto with a keynote that dives into one of the biggest questions of the #AI era: How do we really know if #LLMs are any good?

Every month, we see headlines about new models smashing benchmarks and setting records. But beneath the hype lies a much more complex reality: how do we actually measure these models' success?

I'll explore this fascinating topic and share strategies to help you assess your own LLM solutions. Hope to see you there! πŸ‘‹

In my latest blog post, I'm taking a break from LLMs (yes, really!) to take a deep dive into how convolutional neural networks work. If you have a basic understanding of how #neural_networks work, I promise that CNN are not so complex!
