Scotland’s oldest continuously inhabited house, the wonderfully unchanged Traquair House in the Scottish Borders. Parts of it date back at least as far as 1107, when King Alexander I of Scotland signed a royal charter at Traquair. The Nether Largie Standing Stones, one of the many prehistoric attractions in Argyll's amazing Kilmartin Glen. The five large standing stones are up to 2.85m in height and the central stone is adorned with 23 carved cup marks. The crumbling and precarious clifftop ruins of Newark Castle, near St Monans in the East Neuk of Fife, also sometimes known as the Castle of St Monans. The traditional burial place of monarchs, Relig Odhráin graveyard near the abbey on the magical island of Iona. The East Aquhorthies Stone Circle. This can be found a few miles west of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire and was traditionally called "Easter Aquhorthies". Defensive Roman pits, or lilia, protecting the Antonine Wall at Rough Castle near Falkirk.
