I ask an API to give me all items for a user.

The user exists on the server, but the server has no items stored for the user.

What should the response be?

This is quite clearly server driven UI ... but to go so horribly wrong while promoting the app is just bonkers.

Pizza Hut were promoting app only offers so I downloaded the app. I could only access two screens. Here they are... The login screen and the post login screen.

How does anyone ship to production?

Spent an hour today in a meeting about PR template!

The tech lead doesn't want one at all

The EM wants a small one with no checklists or link.

The junior engineers want one with checklists and links.

I'm asking myself why do we need to do this every 2 years (or with every other EM)?

That is the difference between an owner and an employee. You're the owner - put as many or as few hours as your want. It's your choice; any upside is all yours.

They are employees. They have no or severely limited upside for putting in crazy hours. You want to take the choice out of their hands as well.

This blindness of perspective isn't endemic to him or Indian founders. It's endemic to the class. It's also more prevalent in industries without an overtime pay culture

Does "swipe" exist as an interaction on the web?

As in, has anyone seen a web app that allows swipe to dismiss or swipe to action?

If not, does it not exist for technical reasons, UX reasons or other?

I'm thinking of a 3-4 day trip to somewhere in the continent at the end of the month.

Heart wants to go to Paris. Tourist season will be over, and I can just walk around the city, maybe visit a few museums, enjoy the food, and do nothing.

But Paris is likely to be cold and wet. And the other part of me wants sun and warmth. Mallorca, Algarve, Crete, maybe Sevilla - I've never been to either and all are likely to be warm.

I really need to find a nice city break in the sun...

That's me and another senior engineer. He worked on something for weeks, never updated his branch from main, then complained that he's stuffed with merge conflicts because of my work. I had 12 PRs merged in that time with no conflicts. If only...
