Kyseinen kommentti Gandalfilta tuli liittyen sormuksen tuhoamiseen, kun siitä luopuminen nähtiin hulluutena.

Vastaava viisaus pätee aika vahvasti myös ekokriisiin, aktivismiin ja yhteiskunnassa vallitseviin narratiiveihin.

Ekokriisin vaatimat toimet ovat niin radikaaleja, että ne nähdään hulluutena kasvuhakuisessa yhteiskunnassa. Kuitenkin olemme tilanteessa, jossa tieteen mukaan tarvitaan näitä hyvin suuria rakenteellisia ja nopeita muutoksia.

Viisautta on tunnistaa ainoa oikea suunta.
