After all these years mucking with weather maps I still struggle with all the GIS stuff to get the data reprojected correctly...Been banging on it the whole day and can't get it right...gdal, proj4...you make me feel dumb 🤷‍♂️

Android Studio can migrate your dependencies to a version catalog but you have to create the libs.versions.toml file first and add an empty [library] section.

Then you can go over your dependencies and go over the warnings and it will offer you a quick fix to move the dependency to the toml file.

The hilt Gradle plugin is the thing that makes it nice to work with as it removes all of the ceremony and potential bugs with getting an injector and inject stuff at the right time. I'll take the cost of some class fiddling magic for that. Now I wonder if kotlin-inject has a plugin like that too 🤔

I have a very annoying Swift UI issue that I can't wrap my head around. I have a @State variable that seems to get reset to the default value and I can't figure out why. When doing some poor man debugging I see the value changing from the value that I set it to and then rerendering with the default value. It's driving me crazy. Maybe I'm setting the variable at the wrong point in time? Tips to debug are very welcome ;)

Who remembers this? It's a classic piece of technology. I remember my dad using it on holidays to figure out distances on a map. You literally roll it over a paper map road and it tells you the distance. It has different scales and you have to match the map scale to get the correct reading.
