Colwill's back pass was awful, but Adarabioyo didn't do him any favors by sagging off Bowen, who didn't have the greatest touch leading up to his shot.

And Bowen is class. I knew he'd score if the shot wasn't blocked.

"In a first, scientists find microplastics are building up deep in our brains"

It's all very alarming. The average brain studied contained 7 grams of microplastics. Meanwhile, the amount of plastics produced globally doubles roughly every decade. In the 8 years studied, levels of microplastics in the human body went up 50%. This doesn't end well...

So, quite clearly, the ticket price is not $35, but $41. Why even bother with sleight of hand, when it’s in boldfaced text.

Are there studies that show people are less aggrieved about an added fee rather than having it embedded into the ticket price. I’m am the very opposite because here I can tangibly feel how very ridiculous it is.

If “processing” a ticket transaction is worth a 20% increase in total cost, we’re massively underpaying the performers.

The post game punditry is already lauding the Arsenal energy and youth. Sure, that’s not wrong. Arsenal were clearly the better side, but a look at the stats illustrates the real story.

Conceding 5 goals on 1.04 xG tells you far more about the state of Manchester City’s defense and goalkeeping. Ortega is not good. -2.11 goals prevented? 😬

Odegaard is so unlikable. Constantly whining and carrying on. It starts with the manager but does not end with the captain.

Left foot numb again, starting at the 5 km mark and continuing until about the 6.5 km mark. I just ran and ignored it and it went away. I wore socks I know don’t slip and my laces were definitely not too tight. It’s either shoes or increased load causing some form issue. I’ll rule out shoes next time.

Pleasant out tonight. I was out long enough to watch the stars clock around maybe 40° in the night sky. Orion is always out this time of night, but Venus near the moon was a treat.

Went to the Big Lick Comic Con with my anime loving daughter today. (Until 1882, the city of Roanoke was then called Big Lick, after some nearby salt licks.)

It was my first time at a comic con. Being Roanoke, the celebrities were definitely on the less well known side. For example, pictured is Sgt. Slaughter from WWE and G.I. Joe crossover fame. He’s in his late 70’s now, but that mustache is still crisp! 🫡

The best part is the cosplay. People sharing their fandom & joy is contagious.

Gritty road win and a clean sheet. ❤️ Bournemouth stood tall and, at times, had #LFC pinned back. They have real quality and Iraola has them playing really well. It was an entertaining game, although I found it stressful! Bournemouth will rue missing the chances they had.

But Slot got the subs right and Mo Salah is a legend. LFC just have too much quality for most teams to withstand over 90 minutes of play.

Gravenberch was awesome today. Unsung in the commentary, but fantastic.

Salahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! What a well-placed shot. Against the run of play too lately, if I’m honest.

Game of inches. Bournemouth have struck the woodwork twice and missed a sitter. #LFC have not dominated, but are more clinical today.

Oh but Mac Allister gets one for being in the way. I’ll grant it’s blocking, but so much less than Semenyo’s unpunished hack.

No yellow for Semenyo on the cynical foul to blunt a rapidly developing counter. We’re all laughs and hugs here…

Always a good look for the referee to hugging the opponent, laughing and smiling together.

Good half for #LFC. Mostly in control, but Bournemouth is dangerous down the left flank. Mo is having a great game, despite being kicked all over the park. Gakpo too.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Nunez for Diaz, especially since Bournemouth will have to continue to play openly. Although, if Jota is healthy… he’d feast.

Should be a yellow given after the play for the grab and takedown of Gravenberch that was played as advantage, but it’s Darren England so there is no justice rendered.

💯 a penalty. Unfortunate to clip his leg, but running across the back of a player runs that risk.

Salah converts. (Although I would have sent Virgil up there to stare down Kepa and make him wilt again, the absolute disdain he held for Kepa!)

Finished "Day Zero" by C. Robert Cargill, in which a plush tiger nannybot tries to protect his charge, an 8-year-old boy, in the midst of a robot rebellion that may just eradicate humanity. Calvin & Hobbes meets the Terminator.

Mostly an action-packed thriller, but in pauses, some philosophical musings on free-will, love & sacrifice, belonging, and Theseus's Paradox.

Enjoyable, but a bit derivative and trope-y. 3.5/5 stars, rounded up to 4. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Left foot kept falling asleep. Had to stop a couple of times, thinking it was my sock bunching up. Then I decided I was maybe overstriding & slowed up. Then I decided to just suffer through it. Wouldn’t you know it dissipated about 2 km after that? It’s probably the increased load this week.

When fixing my sock, I put my hand on a fence post & bumped this rune. What fate will I now suffer?

Anyway, that’s three consecutive 10 km runs —> a trend. 👐 🏃‍♂️

Geese are back already?!?

No sense in getting bent out of shape about the loss. Slot did right by resting key players, clearly satisfied with finishing first or second. With Barca drawing, #LFC remain in first. Pushed the Dutch leaders with a ridiculous CB pairing. Mischief managed.

Got to see lots of time for McConnell (was great) and Danns (not bad), and Chiesa (great). Morton had a solid outing.

Quansah showed he needs work. A loan might help. With Gomez getting healthy, CB depth is less of a concern.
