I gave myself a treat and I removed the crufty Lua bindings I wrote for myself to use @thephd 's Sol2 (3?) instead. I also started hooking some of my classes to it so I can finally spawn and move stuff around on the fly in the script now.
Damn, it works well and keeps on giving. Liking a lot unique_usertype_traits, really a nice touch!

Neat so now the default point of view when launching my engine on my old 1050Ti-based computer runs more or less at 60FPS. Somehow, massaging the compiler into giving a better compiled shader code helped a lot.
