It is time to populate my blog Space & Organisation again after many years of little activity (for various reasons).

Here's a summary of a podcast on #SocialNetworkAnalysis #SNA I was invited to by the wonderful @FranciscaOrtiz

The weather has been dreary today - cold, wet and grey - so I'm warming myself mentally with some bonfire memories

I've reviewed the book 'Architecture and Spatial Culture' by John Peponis for Buildings & Cities.

"a remarkable marriage of the subjective and the objective, of the personal and the scientific, of everyday life and extraordinary pieces of #architecture, of imaginative design considerations and the rigorous yet abstract foundations of #SpaceSyntax. It is to be hoped that Architecture and Spatial Culture will be read widely"

What are your favourite, best, weirdest conference goodies?

My clear #1 is the glass water bottle from #EUSN2019 #EUSN #conference - Zurich has lots of water fountains at uni and in the city to refill 👏👍.

It now lives on my desk.

The price for weirdest must go to the fully functional shower head I received as a keynote speaker at an event that Hansgrohe sponsored. Still running in our shower at home

And of course I have a ton of tote bags (which I like)

How students learn with and without AI - fascinating insights from an experiment asking computer science students to code in Fortran (a language none of them knew): those using AI were faster completing a challenge but did not memorise any of the solutions, hence did not learn in the same way than those having to key together answers by themselves

Important implications for #teaching and #learning in higher education
