🥳 Research organizations with a ROR ID from @ResearchOrgs can now automatically add icon/link in their R packages on CRAN #rstats #OpenScience

This is similar to the #ORCID that can be linked for individuals.

@ResearchOrgs The CRAN team is currently working on supporting ROR information in package metadata.

The idea is to display it similar to ORCID information @ORCID_Org

And also include it in the Crossref data associated with the DOI @crossref

💡 Idea for extended-support beta mixture (XBX) distribution:

• Extend support via 4-parameter beta from (0, 1) to (-ν, 1 + ν)

• Special cases: Beta for ν = 0 and Normal for ν → ∞

• Shrink towards beta by exponential continuous mixture for ν

• Censor outside [0, 1] to obtain point masses at 0 and 1
