What do I listen to when I want some #KickBackTunes ?

Metal relaxes and grounds me, but you all knew that already. So does trip hop, and you might have known that too.

I'm gonna go with Sigur Rós and suggest the albums Átta and Agaetis byrjun :)

The list of metal bands, artists, plus metal adjacent and friends who are active on the fedi has been updated.

The list is flawed, incomplete and ongoing as this is the nature of a decentralised network and a list that is curated by a metalhead cat ;)

I've changed some of the groupings to try and reduce having lots of subgenres with just one artist, alphabetized it by sub-genre and artists within a group.

There's new interest in a list of metal bands, artists & metal adjacent music that are active on the fedi.

I've an unofficial list that I will update this weekend with the influx of new accounts, here:

There's also a starter pack that I look after. This list is small as accounts need to activate "discoverability" to be added:

Discoverability is added by going to:

settings, public profile, privacy and reach and then ticking the box for discoverable by the search algorithm.

This can be done in the account settings:

Go to Preferences, public profile, privacy and reach, and tick the box for feature profile & posts in discovery algorithms.

Once you have done this it will allow you to be added to starter packs and for your posts to be displayed on the trending posts pages.
