Nice catch up with chum, we had a nice promenade along the Promenade (I mean, that's what Promenades are for, after all), then the beach at Porty, encountering several friendly hounds along the way who were happy to pause for a head scratch.

Still feels odd walking there without chum's old greyhound though.

Happy birthday to dear, old Ed - Edgar Allan Poe, born this day, 1809.

I first read Poe when I was about 11 or 12, and still enjoy readng him today. I realised as I was thinking about it, that this means I have actually been reading Poe for more years than he actually lived...

...As he lets his passengers out I inform him how he nearly hit me (twice) without even noticing. To show he had learned his lesson, he then picked away (on wrong side of the road) without indicating, then did a U-turn at nearby junction, again without indicating. Sigh...

Oh, and his passengers told me off for calling him an idiot. Were they nearly run over by him? No, so their opinion can kiss my warp core.

Narrowly avoided idiot taxi who was positioned for a right turn at T-junction, but turned left without indicating, as I was stepping onto road. Then he drove onto wrong side of road & stopped. Started crossing, suddenly he reverses, totally oblivious to me crossing...
