What a gammon-bait headline. Actually art fans from anywhere that’s not in the EU will pay a little more. Headlines like this just fuel that weird “they’re punishing Britain for leaving” narrative. Leave means leave, jackass. Now you’re just the same as anyone else and your passport lines will be longer and you’ll pay the tourist tax. Enjoy that sovereignty.

I know the Republicans are doing lots of stuff that’s much more directly harmful to good, ordinary folks, but somehow it’s the Jan6 pardons and justice department firing that chills me the most. It’s just so blatant.

It’s not about ideology or politics, it’s entirely dictatorial and despotic.

The US has a King now.

The biggest change in my New Job is that when I think about my job in the evening or weekend it’s a pleasant, mind-turns-to-a-problem feeling not an oh-fuck-I-haven’t-checked-slack-for-45-minutes-what’s-waiting-for-me feeling.

Stop talking about Trump and start talking about the Republicans.

First off he hates not being talked about and second, he doesn’t do all this stuff alone. He’s enabled in the White House, the Supreme Court, the house, and the senate by the entire republican party.

I think in four years they’re going to be doing their best to say “it wasn’t us, it was Trump”.

But it was them.

Looks like we’re really in for a beating tomorrow. Our house faces south west, into the wind, across a big flat park and onto the water. Forecast is saying 100mph winds on exposed coastal areas. Bit worried about my roof and chimneys :-/
