Last night was a trail run with a difference - the Afterglow 21k down in Torquay. It was a fantastic run and event all up, lots of fun dressing up and being among a bunch of others also all dayglowed up 🤩
They have a big emphasis on inclusiveness and were very actively part of the fight against gender-based violence. Based on the a quick glance around, there were seemed to be a bunch of blokes at the start of the race who were completely unaware that women can not feel safe running trails. A good effort on the organisers' parts to get the message out. More at https://www.respectvictoria.vic.gov.au
This was my son's very first event, he walked the 5k Body Positive Stomp and made friends with another walker with the most amazing huge lit up fairy wings.

I have finally replaced the last source of fossil fuel use that I am able to (some things remain out of my control and I can only continue to agitate for change).
Also, it's a really good car :)

Another #trailrunning goal achieved: ran the Rollercoaster Run event up on Mt Dandenong here. I've #run the loop course with my club a few times, so I ran the double loop 46k (2200m vert, also technically an #ultramarathon 😆) for the bib.
Day started out rainy but that wasn't gonna stop us 😁

I just finished Tour de Trails Crete.
7 days of guided #trailrunning (and walk/clambering) over the mountains and coastline of Crete.
Incredible, striking terrain and sights, knowledgeable and caring tour guides, delicious food and restful stops. Including an amazing little restaurant we stopped at that you can only get to by foot or boat ✨
Already figuring out which tour to do next 😁
