Health economists in the US (and elsewhere) tend to do many useless studies (especially when they want to blame "bad doctors"). How about doing a useful (for the taxpayer one) one : analyze fraud vs expenditure in traditional FFS Medicare vs the Advantage programs?

It would be prudent to do much less modeling, much more measuring, and be substantially more open to acknowledge uncertainty with the evolving bird flu situation relative to COVID. Reality has a way of ascertaining itself, and not everyone shares the same values.
