I've finally made the Christmas card a real thing! It's been sent to the printer's and I hope to get it by the end of the week, or next Monday. Working on removing all the color from the #MetalFamilyTree

as it will be printed monochrome silver on black (it will be so good - ugh!) I will have to Photoshop a mockup for those of you who don't know how awesome that will end up looking. Anyway, updates! Lots of detailing. Finicky process.

Ik ben in de jaren '90 met de #MetalMap 🤘 Hierna wordt het aantal genres een stuk minder. Ik hoop deze week een eerste versie af te hebben.

En ik hoop dat het mogelijk wordt om deze kaart op zwart papier met zilverfoliedruk te drukken 😬

Is hier iemand behendig genoeg met #GIS en #QGIS icm #openstreetmap om me te helpen om de grootste Nederlandse rivieren en wateren in beeld te krijgen?

Ik ruzie al een tijdje met de keys en values, maar soms is natural=water en water=lake niet genoeg om bijv. het IJsselmeer in beeld te krijgen 🤔 of andere waterlichamen die ontbreken... halp!

Yay vuurtorens getekend! Nu de kaart verder opmaken. Heb een proefdruk gekregen, moet nog wat finetunen. En dan is ie bijna klaar! 🥲 #vuurtorenkaart

De #Vuurtorenkaart begint nu toch echt al ergens op te lijken, vind je niet? Nu met legenda, wat uitleg over lichtkarakteristiek en ook gedoofde (bestaande) vuurtorens.

Alle vuurtorens staan erop. Ze zijn niet allemaal draaiend, sommige zijn zelfs bakens. En ik moet nog even dubbelchecken of ik niet wat andere sectorlichten gemakzuchtig heb ingetekend als rondom licht. Anyway, eerste (vroege) versie van de Nederlandse #Vuurtorenkaart

Ik moet nog wat met de rest van de ruimte. Ik dacht aan misschien informatie over lichtkarakteristieken 🤔 sowieso grafisch wel interessant denk ik.

Ik heb wat hulp nodig van mensen met toegang to nautische kaarten. Ik ben bezig met een #Vuurtorenkaart en het is me wat onduidelijk welke kant op sommige sectorenlichten staan met welke kleuren waarheen (de nominale dracht staat vaak wel op Wikipedia). Kan iemand me helpen met (oa) bijv. het Licht van Troost op Texel?

3-kleuren vast licht maar ik weet niet in welke richtingen welke dus.
