🐧🟢 On a freshly installed #LinuxMint 22 (Cinnamon):

I am trying to rearrange the app icons in the "Grouped Window List" by drag & drop, but they just jump back into place.

"Enable app button dragging" is enabled.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug? 🤔

The Alt+Enter dialog for errors of IntelliJ shows "Fix with AI" as the first option, even though I do not have an AI assistant subscription.

Selecting it opens a "Start free trial" side bar.

Is this a bug, or just a quite annoying advertising attempt? 🤔

It's not perfect, though, there are some small display errors (at first I thought they were dead pixels), but it does not bother me that much.

Now I am thinking about upgrading the iMac with an SSD and more RAM. 🙂

It took me this whole time, but I finally made it! 😺

The old iMac is now running Linux Mint!

I am not very experienced with Linux, so this was really tricky for me!

The winning approach in the end was roughly:

• Install latest Linux Mint from USB

• Boot Live System from USB again

• Manually install 32-bit EFI from Live System

Starting a little side project. 🙂

This 17" iMac from 2006 was rescued by my father (someone wanted to throw it away).

I will see if I can install Linux on it and give it a new home somewhere!
