I think I might need help … I’ve recently begun to seriously consider using neovim as my primary IDE / editor.

What’s next? Starting up a YouTube channel that features all my bespoke neovim / lazyvim modifications?!

For the life of me, I cannot get the #NixOS installer to boot properly on my Yoga Pro 9i (w/NVidia 4060 GPU). Disabling the GPU in the BIOS gets it a bit farther along, but I end up with a black screen of death instead of the installer GUI. I’ve tried passing nomodeset and a few other arguments to the kernel, but no luck there either.

Huh. #Zorin is a pretty nice #Linux distro. I know it gets labelled as "Linux for Windows users", but it's more than that.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I want a distro that "Just Works" and has good looks out-of-the-box. Zorin seems to fit both requirements nicely.

I just want to say, that as a Canadian (aka non-US citizen), I greatly appreciate the built-in filtering that #Mastodon (and the #Fediverse at large) offers. While I do like to keep tabs on what my neighbours to the south are up to, on most social media it’s so very, very easy for my feed to become overwhelmed with #USpolitics posts, especially around #USelection time. On the Fediverse, I can elect to hide all that away behind a filter and only view it when I want to.
