Early academic motherhood hack:

1. walk 12 week old in a stroller ~1 mile to a cafe; ensures baby will be fast asleep upon arrival.

2. work furiously until they wake up. Bonus points if it's something you've been avoiding.

I've reached a new circle of Slack hell:

a random ringing from your computer at nearly 11 PM at night, that you eventually realize is someone trying to 'huddle' you, only for you to have no idea which of the zillion Slack workspaces it's coming from (because every different thing has its own Slack) and have apparently no ability to see some listing anywhere of 'missed huddles.' Oh well!

The interface is accessible as a web application, so no installation is required.

Who can participate:

• Academic writers at all levels are welcome [working on a systems-based HCI paper]

• Must be over 18 years old and fluent in English to participate.

• Must join the Zoom session via computer, not a mobile device.

V2X looks like a solution in search of a problem: “V2X allows cars and trucks to exchange location information with each other, and potentially cyclists and pedestrians, as well as with the roadway infrastructure itself.”

Maybe maybe this helps on highways, but on a complete street with crosswalks, bike lanes, etc. are you going to make everyone, including kids, always carry an always-on transponder just to be safe?
