I’m looking for good examples of well-crafted nested #WebComponents. Something along the lines of a parent component that’s responsible for adding and removing child components.
Suppose the related question is where’s the canonical “to-do” app for standards-based Web Components?

Hit me with your recommendations for a standalone #macOS app that manages clipboard history.
("standalone" meaning something more singular in purpose than apps like Alfred, Raycast, etc.)

Super weird seeing this Threads post here on Mastodon and there’s just like… @NYTGuildTech… right there.
(Do not mistake this as a Mastodon fanboy post, to be clear.)

It's been a bastard of a year and I haven't felt my best during my favorite month of the year. Didn't do barely any of my typical traditions. Just couldn't. Grief, anxiety, and depression are a motherfucker.
But seeing our three-year old out trick-or-treating for the first time with some of her friends tonight made up for some of that.

What’s important:
• Photography Matthew and DHH are racist turds with more money than brains.
• Their dictatorial grip on their respective projects is harmful to those communities and the web as a whole.
• Did I mention they’re bigots?
• These dickheads are causing real harm to real people.
What’s not important:
• That either of them maybe made a point that you find agreeable. I guarantee you someone else has made the point before and that person isn’t a shitbird.

DHH’s führergrip on Rails (the project, the code, the trademark) is for all intents and purposes the same category of problems. The difference is scale.
DHH is as corrosive a human being as Photography Matthew and we’d be better off without him all the same.

Is there an open source, self-hostable #YouTube- or #Vimeo-esque project out there?
I’m realizing #Jellyfin is good for easily-categorizable media like TV shows and movies, but less good for like… what you’d find on YouTube and Vimeo.
I’d like something similar running on my network hooked up to a local library of mixed format videos (think like music videos, conference talks, etc.) sourced from my favorites and watch later playlists from those commercial sites.
