Iemand in #Utrecht die interesse heeft om een hele zwik inmaakpotten op te halen? UPDATE: ze zijn vergeven!

Ze zijn van Pieter Pot, maar die vinden het teveel moeite om ze bij mij op te halen dus ik mocht ermee doen wat ik wilde. Ik gebruik ze helaas nergens voor, maar ik vind het zonde om ze weg te gooien. Je kan ze zelf gebruiken of, als jij wel bij Pieter Pot bestelt, aan hen meegeven (wellicht voor nog wat shopkrediet, ik weet niet hoe hun nu regeling is). #gratis

Whatever divine knowledge might be, it can't be that. To be all-knowing is not to have more of what a finite knower has, but to be an entity of an entirely different type, one of which we can have no grasp at all.

Idea for next year: #book bingo. These are 49 books I want to read. I won't be reading all of them. But whenever I read seven in a row, horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, I'll have book bingo! Not sure how to reward myself for that yet, but I'll think of something. (Maybe I'll be allowed to buy a new book?)

By the way, it's not a square, it's a torus! So I'll also have book bingo if I read, say, Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, Rechter Tie, Lieke Marsman, Fair Play, Kant, Arabian Nights & Homo Ludens.

That Christmas pudding I made ten days ago, in my cooking adventure of the year, was reheated for two hours today, taken from its form (blessedly intact!) and eaten.

Was it worth it? Yes, it was! It was glorious!

I've been highly critical of LLMs here and elsewhere, but to counterbalance that a bit: I wanted to know where in Aristotle's De Caelo I could find his argument that space is finite, and ChatGPT was far more helpful than the search engines.

(Of course I can and did immediately check the truth of its answer, because I wanted to read the passage. I would not rely on it for an unchecked reference!)

(Edited to add: it then gave me fake references to Seneca and Cicero, which wasted my time.)

For the past few years, almost all of my #ttrpg playing has been as a GM (or, sometimes, with a GMless one-shot). But now we've started a new @lumpley Apocalypse World campaign, with one of the other players taking over my GM role. And it's liberating! It's so good!

This character is taking over my headspace in a way that never happened when I was GMing. She is aspects of me that I'm normally not in touch with. This is the shit.

Idealism in #metaphysics often sounds crazy to people.

But what would be really crazy is if the world were completely independent of the structures of human thought, and nevertheless contained facts, which stand in logical and evidential relations to each other.
