I’m a little confused here… isn’t the point of stopping ads for gambling that it would reduce gambling? And if so, wouldn’t that reduce this revenue stream over time?

Screening abstracts for a systematic review project I'm working on, and came across this fascinating, undismissable modal: SpringerProfessional requires either a monthly-subscription to "contentpass" or permission to serve ads and collect data (i.e., disable ad-blockers and tracker-blockers in the browser).
