I was idly wondering if anyone had worked on an OS where each app runs in its own VM (instead of trying to secure a multitasking OS that was designed decades ago when bad actors were the exception, not the norm) and found Qubes OS, which looks remarkably well thought out, and can even integrate Windows apps.
