Q: Can web design be "overly" accessible? (ie too many accessibility features, reducing usabilty)
"No. I’d define overly accessible as inaccessible. You can make the experience worse by implementing accessibility features incorrectly, which is the antithesis of accessibility as a practice / design philosophy."

The snowy owl, aka "harfang des neiges" is the official bird of Quebec and used to be on Canada's 50 dollar bills. They are pretty awesome.

One of my saddest nostalgia collections - closed Montreal bookstores. All of these were found in used books or from the bookstore when I bought a book. S.W. Welch was the hardest blow, it was my absolute favourite used English language bookstore - edged out by gentrification, like so many others. Note - Cheap Thrills still exists on Metcalfe but they used to have a location on Bishop, where the bookmarks came from.

One of the local Hassidic kids made a drawing with their finger in the snow on the hood of this car, of a Dad with a shtreimel. I love his mad/ bemused expression, like he's saying "פארוואס מאכסטו מיר א צייכענונג אויפן קאר?" (Why are you drawing me on this car?)

New Lay's Canada Holiday chip flavour, "Tikka Masala". Lots of salt and pepper, nice cumin back flavour and a hint-of-paprika finish. I would be hard pressed to identify it in a blind test, but not unpleasant.

Members of my family were veterans of both world wars. I went to John McCrae school, named after the author of "In Flanders Fields", near his childhood home. Yet, I choose to support peace, & remember not only veterans, but all victims of war.
