An hour later -- still not 2025 here! -- and lots more fireworks, and now every dog in the neighborhood is barking (at the fireworks and at each others) and my cats are like "WTF?!?"...

...and a brief but impressive display just went off right behind my house (no idea which of the neighbors that was).

Just heard a lone firework. It's 10:20 pm. Will they be able to resist setting more off until it's actually 2025, dammit?

Boom! There goes another one. So 2025 sounds like it's arriving early (here in the SF Bay Area). Grrr!

A few days ago (Saturday), I got my annual flu shot and my new COVID shot (Pfizer this time) and aside from a slightly sore arm, I am pleased to have had zero side effects this time around!

Last year, I got RSV, flu, and COVID shots spread out over two months and the COVID one made me feel pretty grotty for a few days (the RSV was the worst of the three tho').
