First night of sleeping with my phone across the room—success! I got more of my book read before I went to sleep last night, too, so I'm definitely continuing this.

Tonight I’m going to move my phone across the room so I don’t check it in the middle of the night and keep myself awake. I don’t know why this feels so hard, but that’s the reason why I need to do it.

I am almost 44 years old and not knowing what the parking situation will be when I go somewhere raises my hackles. Yes, I parked my car in a real parking spot! My car won’t get towed!

Nothing beats hearing “Stand” by R.E.M. at the grocery store and THEN hearing it again in your car on your drive home. Did I sing along as loudly as I could? You bet I did! Car karaoke is the best.

I'm so back and forth on joining Bluesky. I feel weird joining a service because everyone else is joining it, but I also join social networks for the connections I make. I'm thinking I'll eventually start using it, but I'm holding off as long as I can. We'll see.

Went to NYC with my sister for a quick visit this week, and we stayed at a hotel in Jersey City. I hadn’t ever been to Jersey City, but turns we had a great view of Manhattan. It was a fun, but brief, trip!
