On that point, I've just been over and made sure I've followed my favourite artists on bandwagon.fm (the source for The Indie Beat's streams). I don't know who it makes a difference to if anyone, but once @helenbellmusic (among others) releases music over there, I want to know about it!

For the first time today, I heard a track on The Indie Beat that I'd first heard on RadioFreeFedi. It filled me with great hope that the community and ideals of that project were continuing that I'd not really felt until that point despite how much I enjoy tuning into @mizkirsten 's project.

Pleased to have finally got myself in gear and recorded some actual performance voice work! Just a couple of poems translated from Old English by Kevin Crossley-Holland, but they're done, and out in the world with publisher's permission secured.
At the moment, they're #exclusive to the @radiofreefedi Word channel http://relay.radiofreefedi.net/listen/word/word.mp3
I'll get a proper artist website up at some point and these will be part of my vocal reel.

@welshpixie Hiya, back a few months, you very nicely accepted a commission to modify something you'd already produced. I didn't explain at the time, but it was some art for my son to take to University with him. It didn't go up in the first move to save damage, but it's just been delivered, and he's very happy with it!

Took eldest up to his university halls yesterday after his year out working. Didn't really think much of it at the time, and preparations have been pretty calm and well ordered.
Woke up this morning and got hit by a wall of, well, a feeling of loss I suppose. I hadn't expected that - he mostly kept to himself and was out more often than he was at home, but the fact he won't be home at all now hits quite hard.

Visited a tourist attraction in the Forest of Dean (UK) today with some of the family. PuzzleWood is a temperate rain forest and has been featured in a few TV shows and films, so there was a kind of "work" aspect to the trip too, but not anything we could claim expenses on!
They've currently got an art "exhibition" on with over 100 hand carved Kodama (Japanese tree spirits) placed around the site. They're made by Ed Elliott, and really don't seem out of place! #mosstodon #GloucesterShire
