Here is a thing to piss off a personal knowledge management fanatic with:

The entire purpose of some notes is for you to throw them away afterwards.

The end of an era ...

For the rest of my IT career, I'd double down on Hetzner, or something similar.

One of the coolest features of @feedle we haven't told people enough of, is search embedding. Here is a great example from my blog. I have a collection of posts about "Personal Knowledge Management," but if you ever get tired of my writings, you can always just go and check what our community is thinking about it.

Webrings at their best!

Not a single week passes, without me writing an email to a website owner that need to unhook their site's RSS endpoint from Cloudflare's claws.

Do it for the sake of preserving your reader's audience!

Has it occurred to anyone to self-host the currently developed DB-version of #logseq? It's a static site deployed to Clpudflare, so I am guessing, it should be a relatively simple job.

Why do it? Because the Logseq team constantly adds new changes, and I want to have a steable version that I can keep forever and update at my pace.

I admit that I got the help of an LLM for this bit of internal documentation, but that's not the point. The point is that I've got bitten by #Quarkus default project templates enough times that I had to warn my teammates.

I know that both structures will work and many might be asking themselves why making things more complex, until they experience their first class name collision.

Java package naming conventions have existed for decades, why touch a working thing?

Went out around 5pm today, and it struck me how bright it still was outside. A month ago, we’d call it a day an hour earlier. Minute by minute, days are becoming longer again.

It made me think about life. We run away from the dark, until it envelopes is, only for us to crawl back out of it again. And then, run away from it once more.

Right now, it seems like we’re entering the mouth of a very deep and dark cave, but there is a bright and sunny exit on the other end of it, I’m sure of that.

Now that you are here, could you please do me a favor, and boost this post, so we can get this honest prank of mine to more people?

Pls, don't reply to the post, so we keep the suspense high :D

Thank you, and have a great day! 🙏

If you are based in Germany, you have a chance of getting a great bargain deal on a 50mm #canon lens (so called, the "nifty fifty") that I am selling as slightly defect, albeit, fully functional.

The "defect" in question, is a wild clicking noise that the lens does when focusing and snappign back in place. I believe, it can be fixed with some through de-dusting. Otherwise, it's fully functional.

If interested, feel free to bid here: https://www.ebay.de/itm/186899061151
