You know you’ve really messed up the spelling of a word when even spellcheck can’t figure out what you were trying to spell out.

A completely empty apartment, save me and my two cats.

It’s a rainy day at my new place in Seattle and I’ve got Dreams by the Cranberries blasting in my earbuds.

No opportunity feels richer than this, just a beautiful new chapter

I told my parents one of my special interests is nuclear everything.

Proceeded to info dump about why for awhile.

Anyways we’re gonna meet up at a decommissioned plant and I just appreciate my weirdness being accepted.

I too am horrified by Elon Musks borderline and/or entirely illegal election interference attempts

Working on tech products is like having to build a building but instead of having to follow safety standards someone will send you a poorly written article from Medium to prove that safety doesn’t matter.

For every moment I feel afraid of the odds I’m up against and the work I have to do I think of every other moment I’ve had to push and claw my way through worse.

I think “if she could do what she did to get me here, I can do this for both of us.”

That is what keeps me going on hard days one today.

Apologized in a meeting because I felt like I was being intense and just said “I’m sorry if I’m talking fast and being overly detailed I’m just being myself.”

So that one is for sure is coming up in therapy

My favorite animal is me, completely overwhelmed, getting a small request from someone, and having to intensely squeeze silly putty because my frustration isn’t their fault.

The Accessibility Operations Guidebook by @viscousplatypus is finally out!

Spoiler alert: I, along with many other accessibility practitioners, are quoted in and contributed to it. But don't read it for those quotes; read it because Devon is exceptionally skilled in this space and has put so much care into this book!

I've only gotten sneak peeks into this book, but I already know it will be one of the best accessibility books I'll get to read. Check it out!

A lot of us working in tech have worked on AI in the last two years.

No matter what you (someone in tech) might feel about AI, ignoring user concerns about AI is extremely short sighted.

No tech is sustainable without trust and accountability.

I don't want to be dramatic, but if I have to get one more 6-digit authentication code, I might throw all of my devices in a lake and wander into a forest to live out the rest of my days.

I drove an hour and a half to get a headshot at a place that cancelled my appointment and did not tell me.

I tried to look nice and took my time because I really wanted a good headshot 🥲
