Any #FOSDEM folks heading back on the #Eurostar, they're having technical difficulties on the line and the 1056 is cancelled, 852 is delayed 1+ hours.
Might be an idea to get to the station early and they might be able to book you onto an earlier train (happened to me, was waiting in the seating area at Brussels midi when they told us the train was going to be cancelled and we should run for the earlier one).
Might sort itself out later but who knows! 😂

Day two of #FOSDEM getting underway, we're having another Women of Open Source meetup this afternoon from 12-2pm in Chez Theo on the top floor of F block.

As you can see, nurse Daisy has been highly attentive all day!
Really sick with this winter cough causing relentless coughing and virtually no sleep, so the rare occasion of talking a sick day was a must.
Hoping a day of complete rest will be enough to help the body fighting the germs.
Meanwhile, lots of lovely cat snuggles!

Our house has well and truly succumbed to the winter lurgies, I had a sore throat coming back from Scotland and arrived to find the fella had been properly sick all week with a terrible cough, blocked ears (yay vertigo) and exhaustion.
A week later, unsurprisingly, I have the same.
At least he is recovering enough to be able to get stuff done while I'm coughing my lungs up and getting exhausted at the slightest effort!
All while I have shiny new things waiting to play with on my bike!

Back home after a magical week in the Highlands at #dhanakosaretreatcentre on the women's winter retreat studying some of the songs of #Milarepa and celebrating my birthday, to a house full of colds and sickness.
Ah yes, the truth of old age and sickness right there!
It was a lovely time away, and driving home with the crescent moon, Venus and shooting stars right ahead of me was quite magical.
Now to break out the tea tree oil!

Last weekend was pretty epic .. my first ever flute concert alongside other adult students of my teacher having started to learn just before the pandemic, and my first ever duathlon (and first ever time on the bike in a race setting!)
I had so much fun in both and learned so much about myself, about the craft itself and about the importance of always pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, because that's where growth starts.

We have an opportunity in Mautic for a senior developer who has strong experience in #Symfony #PHP and ideally some awareness of #Mautic but if you're a fast learner and willing to dive in both feet first, you can learn Mautic pretty fast with existing Symfony knowledge.
It's a 6 month full time contract funded by the lovely folks at @nlnet so priority to EU folks.

Yay! First time in 15 months (since badly fracturing my wrist and the surgery to put everything back together!) that I've been able to type on my Kinesis Advantage 2 keyboard!
Just have to remind myself of the #Maltron layout, most of the muscle memory is there but I keep forgetting where some of the less used keys are! 😅

Super grateful to the lovely folks at Elmy Cycles in Ipswich for their fantastic bike fitting service!
Took my new-to-me #Specialized road bike in to get everything set up for my #EDS body, and was super impressed with the thorough workup.
Everything from cleats to saddle to handlebars checked, tweaked and even added extra padding to support my broken wrist side which can get a bit sore over time.
Even had the mechanic give it a once-over and fix a couple of small issues.
