I am mesmerised by the graphics in Tomb Raider 2013. It is such a beautiful game, some sections remind me of TLOU especially the stealth aspects.

I just finished 10% acc. to my save game so there’s a lot to explore.

Let me remind you of an old feature in PulseAudio which is thankfully set to disabled by default.

This “feature” was causing the volume of my headset & speakers to be set from 25% to 100% every time a desktop notification pops up.

Let’s say I’m listening to music and I set the volume to 25% for my headset. A short while later, a notification popped up on the bottom-right of my screen (I use KDE ❤️ btw) and the song suddenly starts playing at 100% volume.

This hurt my ears the first time it happened. Luckily there was no permanent damage but it made me worry enough that I spend some time researching the cause and fix.

After couple of hours, I discovered “flat-volume” feature in PulseAudio was the problem. This silly feature was enabled by default and so it kept changing volume of output device acc to audio device whether its desktop notification or a website’s stupid popup video ad autoplaying without my permission.

I wrote a strongly worded txt file back then that goes into detail.

The fix is to set flat-volumes = no inside /etc/pulse/daemon.conf and restart the system.

If you EVER make a spiritual successor to Prince of Persia games with emphasis on the Warrior Within like combat, time reverse ability and good story,

Also consider another game called “Freedom Fighters” by EA. The emphasis would be to recruit fighters per level.

I would purchase them day one even in Early Access. The inner child in me has been craving for this for so long and the AAA game companies do not include myself as the target audience.

I would like to see a sequel to Days Gone zombie game.

Imagine having a gang of bikers follow you for certain missions whom you can recruit as needed.

The game could be centered around building the community from scratch and our choices affect the storyline.

I feel like they should bring back Arbiter. I loved him in Halo 2 and would love to see a new game with him working together with M.C

Later expand it to a spin-off with him as the protagonist. The story could simply be American Sniper with Halo magic sprinkled on top.

Hey #PhilSpencer you could make a boatload of money on this. I just want a mention on the game - easter egg or end credits your choice :)

TIL @videolan VLC media player main website is STILL blocked in my country.

I knew this was a thing in the past but didn't realize people still can't download VLC player 😂

I am so very happy I use Linux which distributes software using repos instead of fetching it from foreign domains.

I was trying to compile #Ladybird browser for fun and I ran into an error because of this.

The fix was to VPN to quickly download the necessary files and the build continued!

I am liking the Airpods Pro 2 from the #appleevent

I might purchase it if budgets don’t get in the way.

The iPhone 16 looks interesting. I personally like Apple Intelligence as a concept but will have to take Apple’s words with a grain of salt.

Not interested in #AppleWatch though.

Also, did Apple really try to sell Titanium devices this year? I mean, haven’t they seen enough problems with iPhone 15 Pro getting hotter because of Titanium??

I plan on jotting down my thoughts on #fedimg project. The hope is it will keep me motivated to get the job even when I am not @dansup

I mean, my god! where does he find the energy to stay motivated and focused to deliver gems like @fedidb @loops on top of #Pixelfed !!

Now that a remote user can Follow fedimg user, I will focus my attention towards the landing page and user dashboard.

P.S. I need to also start thinking of a “feed” in the future but that comes once I implement logic where a fedimg user follows a remote AP user. It’s far off but it’ll get there!
