04/52 Islands in the Sky

Just diving into the sea of clouds with all its islands in the sky.

Driving home I saw such wonderful cloud formations in the sky. I picked up my gear, jumped back into the car just to return to the view I passed before. Backlit by the morning sun, the clouds were soft, widespread, tiny, colorful, gray - a permanently changing dreamy scenery.

For some reason, railroad tracks have always fascinated me and trigger a kind of wanderlust in me. I wonder where they lead, what's around the bend, where you would end up if you followed these tracks to the end. The same goes for the sea - oceans will always attract me. Now that I'm in Bavaria, I opted for the railroad 😁

Fantasy-like ideas - too vague during the week. Sunday night I thought, now is the time - my eyes wandered around, drawn to the delicate angel and the soft light. My spinal cord quickly made the connection between the angel and a rose, and thanks to my gear maker, I could even do this in raw - gosh, how I love moments like that 😎

For me, the German word "Ehrfurcht" (awe) is more related to "respect" and best reflects its meaning when I perceive the beauty of nature. When I am out in the forest, walking across meadows, enjoying a beautiful landscape, the fog in the fall or when I look at flowers, observe animals - then I feel this deep sense of awe - the awe for nature.

Stumbled across this during a photo walk with @marion4life in the incredible Füssen theater (Neuschwanstein). They are still showing Ludwig², the famous musical about the life of the former Bavarian "fairytale king". I can only recommend seeing the musical and also taking a stage tour that takes you behind the scenes.

Following a spontaneous impulse, I parked the car on a small forest path on Saturday, took my camera out of the trunk and went for a long walk.
