toot.wales has been down due to a scheduled upgrade today, so it's given @MikeInTheGarden and I time to think about social media in general. Mike's decided to delete his Facebook account. This has made me feel very sad for him as he always loved sharing his beautiful garden photos and his thoughtful writing there. He's shared our life together from very soon after we first met. We've enjoyed seeing the "18 years ago you were doing this..." notifications. It's sad that it's come to this.

I really want the #BBC (and other channels) stop using X and promoting it as a means of contacting it on their various programmes.

Thank the gods we live a million miles away from the lesser orange one. I know everything they do over there has an impact on the rest of the world but I am very glad there's a lot of water between us. #AmericaIsLost. I really hope the UK government grows a spine (unlikely I know) and distances itself from the madness. I already feel ill but if I hear Starmer mention our "special relationship" I'll be 🤮🤮🤮 all over the place. We need to be back in the EU now more then ever. #AmericanPolitics

I'm feeling really rough today. Got a nasty chest infection (not COVID though thankfully) and a really sore throat. Please send warm, cosy blankets, recipes for soothing drinks, small puppies, a new body, a sensible new president for America that isn't orange, EU membership for an independent Wales and anything else you can think of. I don't ask for much.

I found some lovely photos today that I haven't seen for many years. Here's one of my absolutely amazing parents. I still feel deeply sad that they're no longer here of course, but I also feel an enormous sense of love and pride. I wish you could all have known them. I'm so happy to have found these again.
