@jake Question on django-tasks (I can also create an issue if that is your preferred channel): Have you had any thoughts on making DBTaskResults
a swappable model?
My use case is to have a task model which has a choices field which defines what code to run and a "dependencies" M2M which makes sure that tasks are only run when other tasks are completed.
I would love to use the worker part of django-tasks with my own model (I've almost vendored most of it in to my project currently).

@jippi vi påtænker at køre en #pixelfed instans i @datacoop - har du nogle fif til hvor vi skal kigge efter Docker (Docker compose) opsætning? Det bliver slet ikke nævnt i den officielle dokumentation.

Been trying to install #bluefin / #silverblue on my new #framework 13 (work) laptop all evening. Hitting a "failed to write boot loader configuration" with each try. #Fedora 41 Workstation installs just fine. 😩

What's up with getting unsolicited mails from random projects after starring a repo on GitHub. "We saw you starred this repo, and we thought you might like our project which tries to do something similar."...

Playing around with #textual to create a TUI version of the #Django admin. There is potential - but also many pitfalls 😅

So, validating and saving models instances in #Django. Shouldn't we just call Model.full_clean()
from Model.save()
as a default, and make it possible to skip with a skip_clean
argument? Am I missing something? It feels like a big win and avoids the footgun aspect of forgetting to run full_clean
.

Is it just me, or isn't there a boom in the "HTML with python"-scene?
Check https://getludic.dev/ and https://htpy.dev/ and https://hypergen.it/ - all have #Django support.
I've "always" wondered if building web apps like one builds desktop applications with python/GTK (https://pygobject.gnome.org/) would be a neat way of maintaining the interface, instead of templates.
Pros include testability and composability. A con is that it is probably harder for designers to edit the interface.
