Hot take: "LOL" should mean laughing out loud, and if you don't mean you're literally laughing out loud, you should probably say laughs or something instead.

The G502 though... man that scroll wheel is just the best.

Our new mouse has a neat little feature where if you fling the scroll wheel hard, it'll carry on for a little bit. It's nothing like the G502's endless freewheel FLINGGGG that just spins fucking forever, but it's still pretty nice!

Okay, two really weird things about our new mouse
– it needs to drop all bluetooth pairings and re-pair when you want to use the USB receiver, there isn't a switch on it or anything like that
– when it re-pairs with bluetooth, it CHANGES ITS BLUETOOTH MAC ADDRESS. Keeps going up by 1. What the actual fuck??? Will it ever reset? Or will we just get continually increasing MAC addresses forever with no way to fix it, meaning we'll need to pair as little as possible?

okay do we pay $5-8 on a replacement scroll wheel that will probably ship from china and take months to get here if at all...
or do we just pay $15 on a new mouse? >,,<
I'm kinda leaning towards $15 on a new mouse... it feels like such a waste but ugh

HaHA it works!
Think this basic honeypot'll work to trap LLM scrapers? Think they'll be dumb enough to look at something with "honeypot" in the URL?,,

Hey, how hard is it to repair large holes in our pants from bike/escooter crashes?
Is this something we'd have to patch, or can we just take a needle and thread and sew it shut? We've never done sewing before.

hey @mfoxdogg @ret, I'm getting flummoxed by Symfony again
trying to access a foreign key on a DB object from Twig. It sounds like it SHOULD do the needed join automatically, right? Why does the name work but getting the creator object doesn't?
Do we have to bother with the boilerplate getFoo() methods for this to work?

That's for a cheap crap one with 4GB RAM, but if we don't need to do much on it...

They do indeed exist and can be had for <$100 apparently!

You know,,
are there cheap crap screen-flips-around laptops that we could get (used) and run Linux on?
I kind of want a tablet device, but Android is bad enough on our phone. Having Linux would be good and I bet KDE'll work well enough with touch, mostly.

Did tar used to be worse to use?
Everyone always makes jokes about how obtuse it is, but like, it doesn't seem THAT bad. It's a little oddball, but tar -cf archive.tar files... seems pretty logical, and so does tar -xf archive.tar. Okay, listing with -t is a little weird, but no weirder than a lot of things.
