F-droid was using a nonfree software to compile software since before 2017; https://web.archive.org/web/20170706235218if_/https://f-droid.org/docs/Installing_the_Server_and_Repo_Tools/

Damn and the wayback machine doesn't go any further back...

You'll need >296 Terabit/second bandwidth to DDoS clownflare.

Is that the challenge?

It's amazing how few people realize that liebreboot is proprietary software now.

I can't believe apple used are a thing on the fediverse.

They have all the knowledge needed to be free, but instead they shackle themselves with apple's proprietary software?

It's amazing how defensive people get and the denial when you point out that Linux contains proprietary software.

It's nice when you close the GNUbooted thinkpad it immediately suspends and when you open it, it immediately resumes.

I haven't encountered a proprietary laptop that does that.

I'd like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as 'Happy New Year,' is in fact, 'Happy GNU Year,' or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, 'Happy GNU plus Year.' The New Year is not an event unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU celebration, made meaningful by the GNU philosophy, free software ideals, and contributions to our digital freedom, which together comprise a full holiday as defined by the spirit of sharing and collaboration.

How it feels to tell people that Linux is only a kernel and they appear to be referring to GNU.

@Kopimi >You are welcome to compile kopimi and play with it as much as you like!

Unfortunately, such informal license doesn't grant the four essential freedoms; https://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.en.html#four-freedoms

The "Kopimi" mark alone unfortunately just gives an indication you probably won't be sued if you merely distribute a copy of such work, but such actions would still infringe copyright, as the mark isn't a license.

Metric with extra steps users cannot get it through their small minds that they are using US customary units, based off metric and only the British use Imperial measurements.
They can't even realize that things totally fall apart when you need something slightly smaller or larger than say "1|16 inches", as you can't trivially wack on or take off a mm or half a mm.
