[#]38C3 Day 0. I arrived, somehow got my bearings in the venue. It’s somewhat complicated to me, and signage has room for improvement (the CCH wayfinding and 38C3 wayfinding are exclusive to one another and don’t complement each other well). Also got somewhat of an idea about what to do tomorrow.

Everyone and their sex dog™ is on Bluesky now. No one seems to care that it’ll invariably go to shit, because it’s just as venture capital funded as all other commercial options out there. The fediverse offers a sustainable, community-owned and operated alternative. Instead, people go to a place run by ex-Twitter employees, that fix none of the underlying issues.
