it would be really great if mastodon didn't show posts by people that have the entire instance blocked that you are on.

it feels quite weird to interact as usual and then not get a response and you see another person asking exactly the same question after you and get responded to.

it is not even actively ignoring, because the receiving person doesn't know i wrote something, but i felt like my time was wasted interacting, which frustrates & makes me want to use masto less.

every time i see something new happen at @elementary i feel joy, because it always feels like the team cares about their project and their users and doing their thing.

followup-question:

let's say they sufficiently blacklisted my name in their context window, what if thousands or even millions of people did the same?

would that effectively be a legal DoS on LLMs, because their context window would eventually be full of blacklisted names and no real instructions thus rendering the LLM useless?

did someone in the EU try to sue LLM companies for the "right to be forgotten" already?

what if they scrape data from my own website (which does not have implicit licensing like i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn etc.) and I want their LLM to not have any information about me? are they even able to delete data for one specific person on a whim?
