perfect imaculate artstyle really, i wanted to get the colours right but it didn't go well 😅 I still got a result i like I guess

It's like when i'm cooking, i can't just follow a recipe, i change ingredients and quantity according to vibe and that's why i can't bake a cake

Fast 4, the best of the serie so far, beautiful photography I'm not even joking, strong color symbolism in every shot, good story, good cast, I would genuinely rewatch it, it would be a perfect film without the chase in the tunnels, sounded cool on paper but not great visuals in the end, I spaced out 😅. Watching the 3 first movies was just to establish the lore for this one, worthed it.

Fast 5 and 6: it's a tv show now, episodes and strong escalation

Fast 1, really fun, loved the drag races, loved dom and Michelle Rodriguez, the white boy drives the blond car with blue eyes lmao. Fast 2, the best thing about it is the title?! Fast 3 in Tokyo, I don't even remember the MC name, they've found him, the white guy archetype, I love Han though, I'm glad he'll be back later, loved the synchronised drifting like colorful ballet dancers.

My Spouse got really into watching all of the movies so I'm riding the flow 🤣

It's been wonderful, it's like fantasy, a universe a bit familiar but also very alien with strong archetypes, Paul walker's blue eyes are enhanced with vfx on all the shots like he's some sort of high elf of automobiles, there is car mana (nos) and car wizzards (mechanics) and car priests (referees) and car bards (babes) and car paladins (the drivers)

thank you everyone for recommending Baby Driver, i only loved the first half but i loved it very much and found it very inspiring

Also i realised i never watched the Fast and The Furious, fixed that, what a movie, it was awesome! the two genders... car driver and car babe (and the secret third gender Michelle Rodriguez) also what the hell is Nos, does that make it a magitek movie? so many questions

although i'm very much vibing with my self-taught freestyle watercolor adventures, it's maybe time to learn the techniques for real, get actual watercolor paper, wait for the first layer to dry completely before applying shadows (istg i've got so little patience) or any additional layers. I'm seeing the limitations in what i'm doing and i think i need to improve my skills amd technique to get to the next level

new goals for 2025:

• make a comic 20 page or more

• learn book binding

• learn riso printing

• draw more characters closer together, touching each other (yes that's something i've got a lot of trouble to do 😅 )

• add more diversity in age and body types to my character designs and inner library

• dump Photoshop for good and use krita/rebelle insead

• Learn to use Blender instead of Maya

Amongst my many art goals/wishes for 2024, I managed to do:

• draw more vehicles!

• learn how to design vehicles

• start a Drink & Draw in my town!

• go to life drawing

• make a comic more than 4 pages

• improve comic skills: character expressions, time and scheduling, action scenes, story telling

The failed ones postponed to 2025:

• Learn Rebelle 7

• draw more environments

• print a zine

• improve comic skills: lettering, colors, real dialogues

• first draft of long form comic

One of my art goal for this year is to print a riso zine so I'm joining #fedizinefest2025 to hold me accountable on that 👀💦

Some of you be interested in a lil riso zine with last summer mini comic + bonus drawings? 👉👈😚

Not sure how many pages but around 20? I found a riso printer in mtl and I'm gonna get some quotes, I'll probably print extra zines for after the fedizinefest but the question is how many 🤔 so let me know if you're interested??
